Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
-
Day : 1 Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
Early in the morning, a driver will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi and take you to Lake Nakuru. The Great Rift Valley may be seen from your car as you pass through an escarpment. When you get to Lake Nakuru, you can check into the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (or a similar establishment) and have lunch before 12:30. The park is home to several endangered species, including both white and black rhinos, and a late-afternoon game drive over Pink Lake (so named for the large number of flamingos that congregate there) is a must. Lions, leopards, flamingos, Egyptian geese, waterbuck, giraffes, hyenas, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, and gazelles are just few of the other animals that call the park home.
Get back to the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or somewhere similar in time for a shower and some dinner before retiring for the night.
-
Day : 2 Lake Nakuru National Park
Early breakfast, followed by an early morning game drive that lasts till late afternoon. You'll leave the hotel with a packed lunch box so you can maximize the day out in the park in search of its popular residents—the rare white Rhino and black rhino, tree-climbing lions, leopards, flamingos, Egyptian geese, waterbuck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, and vervet monkeys.
As dusk approaches, return to the lodge to freshen up, have dinner, and stay overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (or an equivalent).
-
